ECOROAD Electric Scooter EC6 is pretty nifty; it has its pros and cons as does anything. The screws for the handlebar are already stripped luckily they give you two extras but I sure hope I never have to take them down since they are already stripped (soft). The instructions aren't as clear as they should be and can be downright abysmal for beginners. The least you could have in your instruction booklet is what the symbols mean like Eco-max speed 14km/h, d for 25-30km/h, s I thought was speed control but I believe its switching from km to miles etc however, not all the time I click through, and walking dude- max of 6km/h or for uphill. It boasts blinkers but honestly they are very hard to see in the day time and the light isn't what I would feel safe with on the road at night so I probably will not be using them too often. I find it hard to grasp the break on the left especially if you are right handed and if you have smaller hands I really only have the one finger on it and I do not feel all that secure. It beeps a lot at me and I have no idea why; now I have to say, I am 50 years old and I had a blast on this thing. OMG! I loved it. Great for getting to the mailbox, running over to a neighbours house etc. The manoeuvrability isn't as great as I thought and wider turns than expected but it is more stable than I thought. Even my almost 80 year old father loved riding this and thought it would be great on the golf course. Course I am not fond of the fact that this promotes laziness compared to bike riding or walking but even off road, along the grass etc. is pretty good. You definitely feel the curbs and the brakes needed some softening at first since you could not gradually apply without jerking but they are good considering how fast you can stop going at max speed. I was impressed with that. It folds down so easily and can be carried easily as well although the clip that holds it compressed while you carry is plastic and that holds the entire weight while carrying. Has a simple bell to warm people to get out of your way. The kickstand is a little loosy goosy and I have a hard time putting it down with my shoes since it seems quite tucked under so I am often doing it by hand but honestly for 300 dollars this is a great little machine. The range worries me a bit in that I wish I could take this out to the grocery store without worries so I would have liked more of a buffer of more like 30k and we'll see how long the battery even gives me the 20k range since batteries are always great when new but diminish fast which leads me to my last point; they built a solid machine but it is only as good as the lifetime of its battery, I really wish they would design for lifetime replacements/improvements instead of just throwing it away and getting a new one. I wish it displayed how far you've gone so you need an external distance measure as you test its full capabilities. As a new fun toy and small commutes and with the price this is a 5 star, however, as an engineer, the practicality, the design, the lack of documentation it is a 4 at best.

First off, the range is legit. I can cruise around forever without worrying about the battery dying on me. And the speed? It hits 30 km/h in no time... it feels like flying!

The best part? It folds up quickly and easily. I can stash it in my trunk or carry it up to my apartment without any issue.

This scooter is the perfect height for a 5'6" person landing the handle bars around mid lower chest. It is comfortable and easy to ride. Love that you can determine different speeds with the press of a thumb. I also appreciate that it came with spare inner tubes and even a multi-tool and pump accessory (not the pump, just the tube). It came with a hard shell case that attaches to the scooter so it it always at hand if needed (though not exactly sure how it was intended to be installed as there is no mention in the instructions nor are there any pictures depicting proper area to mount). Easy to fold up and carry. Love the added lights (front, rear & directional) and the console is easy to read, having all instrumentation from speed to battery power indication. The charging pack is easy to use (kind of like a laptop assembly). The turn signal emits a sound as to alert pedestrians etc. and it has a thumb throttle. The rear brake light blinks when the scooter is on and stays lit when brake is depressed. The headlight is fairly bright, but would have also liked to have had one on each side of the handle bar to see into turns at night. Even has a little bell (too cute). The riding area is rubberized for grip and the handgrips are comfortable. The motor is very quiet. This is a very nice scooter for a reasonable price (currently $399.99).

We have been very impressed and having an absolutely blast using this Ecoroad scooter.
Assembly was a breeze attaching the handle bars, standing up the scooter main shaft and snapping it into place.
The design is simple but very high quality and nicer than other electric scooters I’ve tried. The handle bars fold down for storage or jumping on a train/packing in a vehicle/winter storage.
There are 4 transmission modes: manual, ECO, Drive and Sport. Eco rides up to 15km/hr whereas drive and sport go up to the max of 30km/hr and pick up speed much faster. The max I’ve riden at is at 23km/hr as I don’t find a need to go faster.
There are blinkers/turn indicators that flash on the end of each handle bar for the given side. There is a headlight that turns on with one push of the main button.
There is also a cruise control setting but I’ve yet to use it. The throttle is very comfortable even on a long trip.
Battery life seems great. I’ve ridden 15km straight using a combination of the ECO and drive transmission settings and it had just gone to 2/5 battery indicator lights. Rated to travel up to 29km on a charge. I assume this would be in ECO but have not tested riding the full 29km straight.
The charger has a decently long cord and it charges fast. There is a rubber stopper to cover the charging port to keep things clean and dry.
There is a nice travel case you can attach that is more spacious than expected, easily holding the charger, sunglasses, a phone and wallet.
This scooter is virtually silent even at higher speeds. The disc brakes work great.
Weight capacity is 264lbs and this has been tested with that full weight and it rode great and could likely hold a bit more but wouldn’t recommend.
If you’re in the market for a high quality commuter scooter look no further.

Sure, there are better eScooters out there, but at this price point, it is a decent eScooter. It is well made, easy to use and comes mostly assembled. You just have to put the handlebar part in and tighten four screws (the kit with the screws and allen key is taped to the bag that the scooter is covered in).

It does come with some charge but recommends charging before use. The battery pack and charging box have Canadian certifications which is good with recent stories of ones that should not be used here. On a full charge, we have used it for approx 8km and it still has 2 battery indicators showing more than 50% charge.

Measurements: Height: 39” from platform to handlebars, 46” from floor to handlebars
Usable space for feet on the platform 18” long by 5.5” wide. Feels like you should put your back foot on the wheel cover but it is flimsier plastic. My partner is 6’1” and it is definitely more comfortable for me but not uncomfortable at his height.

Even on Eco mode, it is fairly fast and hits 10km/hr even on hills. Faster on the drive and sport modes. The brakes are pretty quick if using for an emergency stop but will send you flying so gently tap them to slow down on normal stops.

The only downsides I can think of are the clip for unfolding is a little tough to open. You have to squeeze and pull up the black button while pulling the clip down. I imagine it will loosen a little with use though. The screen also requires a few clicks to do anything which is not ideal if you want to switch between modes for speed. Long press turns it on, 1 press for lights, 2 for gears, 3 for miles/kms and 4 for cruise control

This entry-level electric scooter offers a good blend of affordability and performance.

Pros:

Decent range: Real-world testing suggests a range of about 25km on a single charge, which is respectable for this price point.

Handy tools and spares: The included 3-headed Hex key, which can be used to tweak the components on the handle bar, and spare tubes are thoughtful additions.

Cons:
Plastic parts: Several plastic components, like the stem lock lever and folding latch, might impact the scooter's longevity. Additionally, the plastic cover on the rear wheel is too weak to be used as a foot rest.

Maintenance instructions: The manual lacks any instruction on removing the wheels and tube replacement.

Misinformation: 4 clicks toggles between push to start and zero speed start throttle mode. It doesn't affect cruise control as mentioned on the product information.

Cockpit adjustment: The brake lever can only be rotated down a little before being blocked. Similarly, the wiring seems to affect how much it can be moved along the handle bar.

Out of the box, we see it comes with some great accessories: a pump tube adapter, 2 spare innertubes, 3-way hex key, the charging adapter, and a neat carrying case for all of them.
Despite that, surprised to see there is no storage stand, case, or bag for the scooter. But it is what it is.

Reading the instructions, found they were clear and aligned with the actual functions of the item. (Have received otherwise in the past). You have to give it a decent little boost with after turning it on to (D)rive (eg.) before it will go on its own.

Gotta love the little kickstand, adding to the scooter's allure. Be sure it is up before you kick off.

Moving, we see the amount of applied pressure will send you off on a certain speed, taking the load, road incline, and battery power, into consideration. Don't forget to charge to full (a green light) before first use.

Was able to top at 25km/h on straightaways, maybe a notch more going downhill. Going uphill, maintained a daunting, yet consistent 10-11km/h. (Again, considering weight and remaining charge)

Braking is a bit awkward as when you let go as you may get a slight jolt, pulling your center of gravity in front of you. Be sure to maintain a good stance for balance, and most importantly - respect traffic (and its laws) if you are using the road.

Night usage is pretty cool, with a considerably bright headlight, a decent taillight, certainly with a rear-lit helmet, you will most definitely visible to other users of the path, or road if that's your thing. Oh, and you have turn signals in the handle bars. Not so much visible in the day, but again, a nocturnal run you can blend in a little more safely with traffic.

Instructions also warn of local legislation on the use of such a scooter, so kinda neat they nodded to that. So be sure to remain on the side of caution for this one. You never know what situation you can run into in that sense.

Speaking of the bending the rules, folding it is kind of a challenge, but respectfully so, as it is supposed to hold itself, and you up, so be understanding if it doesn't exactly bend like a straw. Totally a solid vehicle. But great to fold to store away for the winter, when on public transit, or just popping it in the car. Whatever your endeavours may be!

I used it to go into town a click or two away, and back..found it was great for some quick errands. Be sure to bring a knapsack or small (yes, a small) bag. The accessories case does come with straps, but no instruction, albeit there is an image, of its installlation, which has potential as a cool luggage trunk or so.

Walking around with it in the store (yes, walked in the store with it) but turned off to conserve charge. Although noticed a slight buzzing/rubbing coming from the wheels. Wondering if it is normal. Could be, given the mechanics.

Overall, a great scooter with some improvements that would heighten one's appreciation. Sometimes, it's the little things that count, sometimes those more important.

The Ecoroad EC8 Electric Scooter is great entry-level and affordable electric scooter with a solid build quality that has plenty of power and range and is fun and comfortable to ride. Assembly was incredibly easy with just 4 bolts to secure the handlebar to the stem. A product manual is included but I didn't find it too helpful. The operating instructions was quite clear on how to use the different gearing modes and the top display so I will explain it in this review. It also didn't mention the turning signals buttons in the manual. A front handlebar mounted bag is included, great for storing the charger and a lock. A spare inner tube for the tire is also included.

Once fully assembled, the EC8 feels sturdy with a solid build quality. No flexing or creaking like with cheaper electric scooters I've used before. Operating the EC8 is not as easy as with other electric scooters. You power it on with the button beneath the display. This button is also used to turn on/off the lights (single tap), change gearing modes (double-tap), change units (triple tap) and enable cruise control (four taps). The problem is when you're riding, trying to press this button multiple times is not that easy and these functions should have been placed elsewhere. There are 4 gearing mode: Walking, ECO, D and S. Walking mode limits max speed to 6 km/h, ECO to 15 km/h, D to 25 km/h and S to 30 km/h. Setting the right gearing mode is great for riders of all ages and comfort level to only go at max speed they are comfortable with, but if you're fiddling with the single function button, you could easily switch the gearing to the fast S mode. When you power on the scooter, it always starts at Walking mode and you'll always need to adjust the gearing before you go.

The display is readable, even in bright light. There is a front light and the rear back light, good if riding when it's darker out. The signal lights is easy to operate and flashes the light on the end of handles. In bright light, the signal lights can barely be seen and there is an audible beeping sound if the signal is on. The EC8 does require a light push before the throttle engages and once you get going on the higher gearing modes, the EC8 feels peppy getting you to the top speed in a short time on level ground and downhill. The ride is smooth with its large 10" wheels and reaer suspension. Ride comfort is much better than other electric scooters I've tried in this price range. The disc brakes also work well. The 350W motor is plenty of power for an entry-level, budget minded scooter but it can slow down and struggle a bit on inclines. I found it slowed down on hills and on steeper hills, I almost needed to give it a good manual kick to help it bit. I weight 70kg and the GXL only has a 120kg (264lbs) weight capacity, so it will struggle even more for heavier riders. For zipping around your community, or downtown on flatter areas, the EC8 works great. The folding design and 13kg (30lbs) weight makes it easy to put the EC8 into your vehicle's trunk and have an electric scooter available to get around town.

In terms of range, it claims to have a 25-29km range, which is great for an entry-level electric scooter. Overall, the Ecoroad EC8 Electric Scooter is a great entry-level and affordable electric scooter for commuting in your community that has a good amount of power and pep, comfortable ride and long range.

Ok, so this Eco road scooter is just AMAZING!! I wanted to give it 5 stars, but the reason i gave it 4 is in this review, But if you are looking for an amazing Scooter with a ton of power that is really well made, and easy to ride, I would deeply suggest this one!

Scooter comes almost fully assembled, the only thing you have to do is attach the top "handle bar with gears etc" portion to the base of the scooter. And that only takes 4 screws and the tool you need for that comes with it. it take no time at all.
-please be aware.. you "SHOULD" go over ALL the parts of the Scooter to make sure everything is tightened and secure "before" you ride it.

Charging is simple, you plug the adapter ( comes with ) into the wall and then there is a small opening (with a rubber cover to close back up after done) on the side where you ride it to charge. It is Strongly recommended to FULLY CHARGE before use. You get to know when it is by the little Light that is on the Square block part of the Charger. It will be red while charging and green when fully charged ( the instructions were not too clear on this in my opinion) But thats how you do that.
You get a FULL CHARGE in 4 hours or less. Pending how much you have used up.

comes with tool to adjust your scooter, and an attachment for Air Pump in case you do not have correct size for the tubes in the scooter. plus a little Bag that is made to attache to the front of the scooter to carry your tools or extra tire tubes if you like. or any other smaller items you would like to carry. It would fit a bottle of water for sure.

This scooter is extremely well made. it is of a very SOLID construction. It folds over easy enough to attach to the back wheel section so you can carry it with you into places etc. I put a vid clip to show that i rode mine to a Grocery store and they even allow persons with a scooter to walk through the store with it while shopping! Amazing!

Wheels are very durable, as is the tire tubes and you even get 2 extra ones which is very good! The instructions recommend to be SURE You pump the tires to a 40PSI
so be sure you have an Air pump Gage on hand to do that before you ride it for your best possible enjoyment and usage.

I wanted to give this e-scooter a 5 star review, and in a way , it is. but i think they really should have given "how to ride" instructions to come with it. I say this because not everyone is going to know HOW to ride one and there ARE a few things your really need to know before you get on one as they can be dangerous too! For example... when you Ride it -lean forward a little as it is how you best ride one and when you break to lean back so that you do not topple over head first... and trust me, you could on one of these!

So yes i strongly recommend this ECO ROAD Scooter, but i just as Strongly recommend educating yourself BEFORE you ride one! but yes this scooter is amazing!
