EK6 Kids Electric Scooter

In terms of scooter function, this scooter is near perfect. Adjustable height bar, easy to use clamps for height adjustments, kick stand, speed display, kick start, LED lights, emergency/manual brake, accelerate and brake at fingertips, etc. My only gripe is that this is not foldable and so transport isn't the most convenient.

The speed of this scooter is true to advertisement for kids. It can feel a little fast but adrenaline junkie kids will quickly adapt and love it. This scooter is strong enough to support adults as well but it will be a bit slower and the foot placement will be a bit more awkward as the base is not comfortably long enough for adult sized feet.

This is a great scooter for kids 5+ and the 3 speed settings help throttle both the risks and speeds for when your child is learning to ride this.

Overall, love this scooter and highly recommend this.

The scooter is really nice. Setup was super easy out of the box, all the tools were included or just basic ones if you ever lose them to get the handlebar and kickstand setup. General build quality seems durable and built to the suggested rider weight limits. Sizing is good for kids, i like that the handles can be adjusted easily as they grow of for siblings. Controls are easy to get, it uses a push to start motor with the throttle so it won't take off by accident. The different speed controls work well and are easy to setup as your kid progresses. I like that the units can be swapped really easily from MPH to KPH as i don't have a clue what MPH speeds should feel like or be. Breaks seem good and we liked the flashy lights too. Charger is good quality and is fully rated for the Canadian market.

Hills seem a bit of a challenge if the speed drops below the push to start threshold. The 150W should be more than enough to get them up one. This isn't unique to this scooter as we experienced the same with another riding kid's scooter. Its a bit of a bummer but being realistic we don't want the kids going to far with them anyway either. On that note we haven't really run into issues with the battery it is lasting enough for what we are expecting of them. But worth looking at what other reviewers are mentioning as potentially being a factor for you and the suggested age limits for the rider.

Overall its great to have a second electric scooter option for the kids to avoid the dreaded scooter envy between them. And we really like that this one grows with them as they progress.

The build feels pretty sturdy, and assembly is quick and straightforward using the included hex key. The battery is about half charged out of the box, so I‘d suggest topping it up before first use. Controls are very simple, where the left thumb lever (black) is the brake, and the right thumb lever (red) is to accelerate. The scooter is lightweight, so it’s very easy to carry by a kid. To get going, you need to push off with your foot first; once it reaches the minimum speed, the electric motor kicks in. To stop, you can either push the thumb brake or use the foot brake, both are easy to reach and feel safe. There are three speed settings, with the lowest at 5km/h (like brisk walking speed), perfect speed for beginners to learn. The deck light is fun, especially at night. Overall a simple and safe scooter that is perfect for young beginners.

This little scooter is perfect for a first time electric scooter rider! I got this scooter for use by my young (7 YO) nephew when visiting our house. He loved it and caught on quickly how to ride it! The battery charges quickly and lasts quite a while, especially at the lowest speed of 3 MPH. I kept it at the lowest speed to make sure of now injuries. He had a blast! I got a lot of steps in running along side of him to make sure of no falls. I also bought a helmet and knee and elbow pads to make sure of a safe ride. It is very adjustable -- from the height of the handlebars to the three different speed settings. The lights are very pretty and a nice addition to the scooter! I tried it out myself at the highest speed setting (10 MPH) and got a little nervous at how fast it felt like I was going. It rides smoothly and is perfect for a first time scooter rider!

Absolutely LOVE this scouter for my 5 year old. It took him a few times to get his balance but once he did there was no stopping him!!

I’m very happy with this electric scooter. It‘s easy to assemble, feels sturdy, and rides smoothly even on slightly uneven surfaces. The battery life is solid and lasts long enough for daily commutes or short trips around the neighborhood. It’s also lightweight and easy to fold, which makes it convenient to store.

This scooter is just the right size for my 8-yr-old. The adult-style scooters are much to big for her, but she can handle this one just fine.

The scooter seems well-made. It has lots of steel components: the head tube and the platform rails in particular.

The scooter has 3 different speed settings low, medium, and high. Low is good for a new rider to get a feel for things, but it's really slow. You'll probably want medium or high after the first day.

The inductive brake is a bit klunky. It's a throttle-type rotating lever, but under the left thumb. We've found that the foot brake (press the rear fender into the tire to create friction) is used a lot more. An integrated induction + disc brake would be a welcomed upgrade.

Well there are lots of pros with this electric scooter for kids and not any real cons I can think of. The pros include the following: It is well designed and it seems to be manufactured to last for the long haul... It's easy to assemble and to get going with it... The scooter having 3 speeds is awesome... The height is adjustable so that my 5 year old grandson can use it for years to come...My grandson more that loves the scooter and he is on it all of the time... He really likes the colorful lights...and the scooter comes with an electric brake and a rear foot brake for safety. In my humble opinion this really fun electric scooter for kids is more than a great value, and it comes highly recommended from us!

This scooter is amazing and my son (8) loves it. He has never had issues with the battery dying while riding it. It has a safety feature where the scooter will only propel itself, if it is already moving. This is great because it insures that it only moves when he is ready because he already started pushing it. The controls are super easy and intuitive, it took him only a few minutes to figure it out. The three speed settings are perfect for a kid his age. Slow enough that he can ride with his friends that are walking, but fast enough he can keep up with the bikes but not so fast I worry about his safety.

This scooter needs very little assembly, comes with a kick stand and a charger cord. It is a great value for the cost.

I would highly recommend this scooter.

Our grandsons (6 & 8yrs) visited for a week, they used this scooter every single day. Once the battery was dead, it was recharged and they brought it back outside multiple times a day. Although this was their first time using an electric scooter, they had it mastered in well under an hour. This was used in the grass, I figured they could use it on pavement when their parents are here. I'm sure they would be fine but this way, I didn't worry if they took a spill in the yard. It charged quickly and they consistently stayed on speed 2. The 1st speed felt too slow to them but that very likely could be because it was being ridden in the grass. I felt keeping it at that speed also maintained the battery charge for longer periods of time than if they were to put it on 3. We also chose to keep the flashing lights off for that same reason. A bit more foot room would greatly improve this scooter, as it is to easy to accidently press on the brake if your foot is back too far.

My 8 year old daughter loves this scooter so much we had to buy an adult scooter for family rides! The 3 speed modes made it easy for her to get use to the scooter and get use to the speed. The product looks nice and well made. I also appreciated the value and I would recommend this scooter, your child will have tons of fun.
